Rozana Media Foundation has launched a new project related to the discussion of taboos in Syria, aiming at achieving a positive shift in the Syrian society.

The project was initiated by a workshop in which 20 young Syrian women, 11 currently based in Turkey and 9 living in Syria, participated under the supervision of trainer Mohamed al-Hani.

These young women are looking forward to positive change through evoking forbidden subjects, i.e. social taboos in Syria.

The workshop will be followed by media discussion sessions moderated by the participating young women, via radio and digital platforms, during four months; with the participation of experts, specialists and guests from Syria.

The media panels will discuss taboos such as rape, cohabitation, sexual harassment, virginity, hymenoplasty, children out of wedlock).
