Aleppo: The Truth behind the Video of the Insurgents' Surrender!

Aleppo: The Truth behind the Video of the Insurgents' Surrender!

Reports | 25 05 2020

Activists in the besieged neighborhoods of Aleppo confirmed that "the humanitarian crossings" that the Syrian regime declared it open for the exit of civilians, did not open fully since the regime started its siege on the city last month.

A  primitive film does not have a minimum degree of accuracy or professionalism, presented by both: the Syrian regime media and the Russian media, during a meeting with militants who "fled from the oppression of the terrorists and returned to the bosom of the regime."

This comes after the Syrian official television and the channel Russia Today have published televised reports keep pace with what it said about some soldiers from the armed opposition had fled Aleppo, after expressing remorse and praising the "hospitality" of the Syrian regime.

Reports show errors in the scenes’ acting, a lot of Syrians talked about it, criticizing the naive and unconvincing performance.

The exchange of roles between fugitive and nestled

"Rozana" reveals the truth of those illustrated recordings in this report, after communicating with people from within the city of Aleppo, and analyzing the displayed videos.

In the analysis of video clips, it is clear that the Syrian regime was hasty in producing these videos, and never audited the videos, where the lack of coordination between the media is clear.

And appeared on Syrian official television, a masked gunman with a cloth on his face, was asked about his return, and he replies with sentences appeared to be saved by heart, before going out to acting the scene.

And once he was asked by the broadcaster, he said without focus: "We redeem the President Bashar al-Assad, who pardoned the militants, and I would advise the militants to leave the country because they are not going to get any gains  here, they took us out of our houses and threw us on the fronts, I got injured and they did not treat me, I suffered from their humiliation and oppression, and now I advise them to return to the bosom of the regime. "

Who presumed to be a gunman, spoke these words, in one tone and one focused way, as he was being taught what to speak through a screen in front of him. The  broadcaster asked about hospitality, even though the TV was introduced him immediately after his arrival to the regime strongholds and he did not know anything about hospitality yet! But the man talked about the good Hospitality without any hesitation!

The  video clip published by the Syrian official TV, there was a young adolescent that was between the insurgents fleeing from the liberated areas, but the same person was also on the channel Russia Today, but this time, as a civilian living in the regime strongholds, who came to the crossing to receive the gunmen and families fleeing from their areas , what indicates a lack of coordination between the channels plotted the story.

The "Syrian News" channel presented a video about the exit of civilians from the village, "Asan", located on the road to Aleppo International Airport, note that the village is already subjected to the Syrian regime rule, and basically does not have any crossing with the liberated areas!

Neither a gunman nor a civilian has left their areas!

"Rozana" communicated with a number of activists in the besieged neighborhoods in Aleppo, affiliated with the opposition, three persons who exist periodically at crossings that separate them from the regime areas, stressed on the fact that the crossings did not open completely since the siege began on the city of Aleppo in the seventh of July.

Omar Abdul-Razzaq, a photographer and aid worker within the city of Aleppo, said to "Rozana" in an interview, that the besieged neighborhoods have not seen any case of people transmission to the regime strongholds, especially that the crossings did not open completely.

He said: "I wandered between the crossings and were all closed with big sand canvas barriers, to obstruct the snipers."

He explained that there were some civilians who had the desire to go out into the regime areas in Aleppo, and were waiting for opening the crossings formally and safe, but there is no one did that until writing these lines, indicating that the regime promoted for the exit of the families through Salaheddin crossing by the video filmed one day before.

He continued: "But I was there and picked up many images of the crossing, in conjunction with the claim that it was open for civilians."

Claims for a more professional video

Joseph, a resident of “Sakhor” neighborhood in Aleppo,  laughed a lot when he heard the news of the militants' surrender and remorse on "joining the terrorists' groups."

Joseph said in an interview to "Rozana  "the militants could surrender within a more professional video.

A Syrian journalist who is close to the regime and resides in Damascus commented through a status on his FACEBOOK "the director is wanted dead or alive."

"Let's consider that this video is true, I want to know what crossing did the gunmen come out of and to what faction they belong?" said a resident in the neighborhoods controlled by the regime in Aleppo.

The citizen, who declined to be named said to "Rozana": "usually in these cases, extended in-depth meetings take place with the militants, to let them talk about their remorse and details about how they got misled by terrorists, where are these interviews yet?".

And while the Syrian regime produces his own media reports, regardless of its professional problems, these fake reports up to Western public opinion. And here is the role of the new Syrian media which was born after the revolution, to highlight the truth and to confirm what is actually happening on the ground!
