Besieged Areas in Syria!

Media | 27 06 2016

486,700 people live under siege in Syria, more than half of them are surrounded by the forces of the Syrian regime, out of the total 4.6 million people live in areas "hard to reach", according to an announcement by the Coordination office of Humanitarian Affairs in UN.

But these figures may not reflect the reality, according to two NGOs: The Dutch "PAX" and "Syria Institute" in the United States. And they say that more than a million people are suffering from "a growing risk of death" because of the shortage of food, electricity and water in 46 towns under siege.

This map shows the areas on the list of the United Nations, as areas under siege, and the number reached 19 areas, as well as areas that are difficult to enter the aid to them.
