Activists launched a campaign in solidarity with Aleppo on "Facebook", by changing their profile pictures into red as a silent expression of the Syrian civilians’ bloodshed in Aleppo, under the eyes of the whole world, according to activists.
That was accompanied with the Hashtag #AleppoIsBurning " to signify the violent shelling in the city since week ago until now, and resulted in the death of more than 202 civilians at least, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The idea of to changing the profile pictures began when a Syrian youth group sprayed the walls of Aleppo in red, and colored the water in the public squares in the same color, so the campaign spread rapidly on Facebook groups, demanding changing the profile pictures on Facebook, and also to comment in red under all publications News pertaining to Aleppo.
