Several children were killed and other people wounded, on Tuesday, as a result of a fire at a Syrian refugees’ camp in Mardin, southern Turkey.
“Afad”, the Turkish Disaster Management explained, according to Anatolia News Agency, that "three children were killed and six other people were injured after a fire broke out in the camp accommodates 22 thousand Syrian refugees in the province “Drake” in Mardin, southern Turkey."
Added that "The fire spread to a neighboring tents before being able to be extinguished and controlled by the firefighters" pointing out that "the officials are investigating the cause of the fire."
Recently, many Syrian refugee camps in Turkey witnessed the outbreak of fires, what caused many deaths and wounded, and several humanitarian organizations reports indicate that a number of refugees’ camps in Turkey lack of basic services and means of safety.
