The Anatolia news agency granted the Syrian media activist Karam al-Masri, the award in the contest "Istanbul photo awards", that 13 thousand competitor participated in from all over the world.
Al-Masri said, in a telephone conversation with the "Rozana" that he was given the award for images called "Aleppo under the air raids" which was snapped by him last year, in the areas that were bombed in Eastern Aleppo, where most of those areas were in severe damage because of the barrels bombs.
And about the most scenes remained in his memory from the photo collection taken in the bombardment moments, he explained: “it was a picture of a family whose home was destroyed completely, and the mother was sitting in front of the house crying and saying: “I wish we died”, where the family no longer have a place to reside."

Akram noted that "the award is moral more than being material" but if he was given the choice, he would grant the award to his fellow journalists who lost their lives whether in the bombing, or shot by the organization “ISIL”.
The Syrian affairs occupied the first three classes in the competition, where the first class subject was about the refugees, while the second class was for the subject of the injured children because of the shelling and who were being treated in the field hospitals in Rural Damascus.
