A Turkish government official revealed, on Wednesday, the details of the Turkish decision of sending 25 thousand refugees to Europe, pointing out to the cases covered by that decision.

The Turkish adviser’s assistant of Refugees, Abdel Halim R.oglu, in a telephone conversation with Rozana, pointed out that "the priority in the cases that will be sent to Europe is for sick children, accompanied by their families."

He added, "The decision includes the Syrian refugees who are injured due to the war, and chronic diseases, and those with special needs as well as former detainees who have been subjected to torture or severe deformities."

About women, R. Oglu said, "The resolution includes Syrian women who have lost their relatives or were victims of violence and detention previously."

The Turkish official pointed out that "the registration procedures begin with applying to the immigration departments in Turkish states, then the person shall be referred to a hospital to indicate his status, after that they would study each case individually."

He added, "Then the refugee files will be transmitted to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and in case it was accepted, they would be distributed to the European countries that wish to receive them."

The official said that "the process of sending the excepted refugees to the European countries may take between 7and 8 months."

It is noteworthy that the media published, on Tuesday, news about Turkey intention of sending 25 thousand refugees to European countries, without mentioning any details.

The decision comes after the start of Turkey's implementation of the Convention between Ankara and the European Union concerning Refugees, and the most important clauses, that Greece should return refugees who reach its territory illegally, to Turkey.
