Ahlam displaced from northern Hama to the Syrian-Turkish border camps, and after the misery and tiring journey, she settled in a small tent.

The thirty years' old  lady spend hours in her tent, designing artistic accessories and art pieces, then sell them to the women in the camp, besides designing embroidered flowers, prayer rosaries, and the folk costume of Hama city.

Ahlam says it has set up an exhibition in her tent and invited some displaced neighbors for marketing her products, which help her to make a living.

Ahlam's work become popular in the “Atama” camp where she lives, and the women there purchase her artistic works, to decorate their tents.
