From Engineering to a Grocery.. Because of the Compulsory Service!

Mazen who has a doctorate in agricultural engineering from Egypt, was forced to work in a small grocery in one of Suwayda's neighborhoods (city in southern Syria), where he found a refuge to escape the military service in the Syrian regime's army.

"It is painful that the years of study and experience ends in a modest grocery store, I did not imagine that could happen after more than twenty years studying and after the doctorate," Mazen said.

 He has been fired out with a number of engineers and graduates of intermediate institutes of the Ministry of Education in the system the government, for not joining the compulsory service in his troops.

After his dismissal, it was necessary  for him to look for any job, to fend for his family, there was nothing to do except a grocery store, he can’t  get out of Syria, while the specter of dragging to the regime's army, flanked by!

And this was not the only painful story in Syria; a lot of scientific expertise has been lost in Syria because of the war, and because of the compulsory dragging to the service in the troops of the Syrian regime.
