Mohammed Harb is anything but an ordinary refugee, living in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. He is a founder of an artistic troupe that offers many shows, inside and outside the camp, and that aims primarily to provide moral support to Syrian refugees.
Harb is unable to walk; yet this disability did not turn him into a helpless person. He simultaneously supports his family, works with the International Medical Corps as a life skills coach, and teaches English.
In addition to expressing the life experiences of Syrian refugees, values, and habits of goodness, patience and coexistence; it specifically targets people with special needs and their problems, and aim to express them. This it does through involving them in the arts, and integrate them into their surrounding community.
Mohammed Harb represents an exceptional case, that helps disseminate hope and persistence in those surrounding him; despite the harshness of his own situation. He is hopeful that this dark cloud will disappear, and that conditions will improve, as he puts it.
