Copies thereof will also be sent to 20 European countries.

The 25-year-old Tamer Turkmani undertook the implementation of the largest poster of the Syrian Revolution at a length of 1,70 meters and the width of 1,50 meters, comprising the photographs of 90 thousand Syrians victims—children, women, and men—from across the country. The poster will be on display at the sit-in organized by a number of activists in front of the Syrian embassy in Amman at a later date. Copies thereof will also be sent to twenty European countries.

In a telephone interview with Rozana on Wednesday, Turkmani says “I would firstly like to thank the people who sent me pictures of their children, brothers, and friends from all over Syria; from outside Syria; and from the refugee camps. Even those people in Europe have not forgotten their friends or acquaintances.” He notes that “to clarify further; we reached in excess of ninety thousand images, with the name of each victim, the region they stem from in Syria, with the victim’s age."

He points out that "the project no longer is a mere honoring [of the victims]; it also represents a documentation. We will place a picture of the victim that will be sent to several countries; much like the previous painting which was displayed in the United States, Canada, Turkey. The new one will be up to two thousand meters in length. We will create twenty copies to be sent to twenty European countries hosting Syrian refugees; so as to help improve awareness and handling of their situation."

He concludes: "The majority of centers in the cities communicated with me—such as the Idlib countryside and Damascus. They provided me with the names and photos. The city of Homs, however, has not to date communicated with me or sent me any pictures of victims; contrary to the rumors that I favor only images from of own city Photos cities. I deal with all images equally, striving to so that images of all those killed from all areas are displayed without any discrimination; so as to allow people to learn their stories."
