In a move that is the first of its kind in Kafranbel, in the Idleb countryside, a group of activists established the Rou'ya [Vision] center "vision" for the training and qualification of citizens in the fields of computer sceinces and foreign languages, free of charge.
The educational process in the Rou'ya center is based on tools and means hitherto unusual in Syria. Computers have become an integral part of the educational process, in addition to audio and video devices, according to Ahmad Henak, an instructor at the center.
The center also pays special attention to women, according to Umm Mahmoud, one of the workers; via special activities related to women's lives in addition to regular activities. It is also works on raising women's awareness, such as information provided on reproductive health.
There are various reasons prompting young people in the city of Kafranbel to visit this center. Some of them would like to prepare themselves to travel abroad; while others are simply trying to get a job.
