A great many young Syrians hold the belief that getting to Europe is the solution to end the misery of their lives—whether within Syria or in their countries of asylum.
After reaching those countries that they dreamt of, some of them have different views. They talk about different reality to that which of they had previously dreamt, crossed long tortuous distances, and suffered significant costs and risks.
Abu Subhi and Dia both recently arrived in Austria. They found things very different than that which they had in their imagination. They are currently awaiting their residency permits, in the absence of any care provided to their situation.
