What Life for Frontline Homeowners?

What Life for Frontline Homeowners?

Reports | 25 05 2020

Houses located on the Aleppo countryside frontlines are no place for safety, with this countryside becoming an arena for several clashes and battles between several parties.

Many residents actually left their homes due to their location, such as Mahmoud and his family, who suffered as a result of their exodus from his home near the Soran [town in the Aleppo countryside] front. Their suffering lies in the high rents, and the difficulty of accessing their old house.

Some accuse the opposition factions stationed on the front lines as being behind the theft of some houses. Abu Mohammed denies this and asserts that his house near the military front was not robbed, despite the presence of fighters nearby.

A fighter in the northern fronts of Aleppo, says that when they enter the civilian homes in order to repel the regime forces' progress; opposition fighters try their best to preserve a home's assets.
