NOT ENOUGH PASTURES FOR HONEY-MAKING BEES WITH THE WAR IN SYRIA!

Reports | 25 05 2020

War has affected bees' production. This is confirmed by a number of beekeepers in the Aleppo countryside to Rozana; who also say that there are conditions that must be met in the environment surrounding apiaries, for a beekeeper to secure the best yield of honey from his bees.

Beekeepers usually resort to moving beehives to coastal areas at certain times of the year, with the presence of complete bee food in that area. The biggest problem among beekeepers in Aleppo now is the high costs of honey production, and the difficulty in marketing.
